So excited to finally share some more pictures from my stay at beautiful Casa Mãe in Lagos. We had the chance to stay in their new Heritage suite, where vintage meets a spacious & luminous environment. Everything from the music playing in the room to the spectacular views of the city made our stay in Lagos unique. Not only is Casa Mãe my favorite place to stay in the city but I also highly recommend their restaurant, Orta – an authentic cuisine with a modern mix of flavors & presentation. While you’re there, make sure to check out their store with so many fun finds. Each time we’re in town, we can’t help but bring a souvenir or two :).
One thing I was really excited about when I moved to Europe was roadtrips. So many beautiful sights at only few hours drive away! When we started to plan our getaway to Lisbon I knew I wanted to stop in the portuguese countryside for a night or two before heading to the city. I’m telling you, Portugal is probably one of my biggest surprise of 2016 and my visit at Torre de Palma might have helped a little :P.
You guys, I left my heart in Lisbon! I’ve already had a blast in the Algarve (south of Portugal) but the architecture, the food and the city vibe in the capital is just incredible! Accommodation wise, I was seriously surprised by the number of (cool) Airbnb’s, hotels and Bed&Breakfast available – portuguese people definitely have a sense of style when it comes to interior design! I discovered Casa C’Alma, a trendy guesthouse in Lisbon and I had to share more about my stay!
I’m definitely a boutique hotel type of girl. Interior designs inspire me a lot & I’m always looking for new establishments to discover while I travel to new destinations. I’ve had my eye on Casa Modesta for a while now and was beyond thrilled to spend a few days in this minimalist paradise on our way to Lagos.
