I mean it when I say Montreal can be a true winter wonderland during the holidays. Although visually (and by visually I mean being at home cozy with a million blankets) it can look magical, when temperatures drop, you need to be physically ready to fight the cold. As a fashion blogger, I always struggle to find the right balance in between comfort and style but since I’m collaborating with La Canadienne, everything seems easier 😉 . Here’s how to survive a canadian winter.
While I updated my Fall wardrobe to chunky knits & beret hats I was still looking for that perfect accessory to complete my seasonal looks. Shopping for a new bag always makes me anxious: I am forever debating on what style and brand I really want and the fear of choosing a bag that will end in the back of my closet is reaaal. I always start my research on Vestiaire Collective because not only do they have an incredible assortment of bags but nothing feels better than getting a new luxury tote at a great price.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through my years of blogging is the fact that I collected way too many clothes that I’ve only worn once or twice. Not only does it take me 3 hours in the morning to find what I’m looking for (ughhh I need a walk-in closet in my life) but I’ve realized I was missing some essentials in my wardrobe. I used to be attracted to some major statement pieces that weren’t necessarily fitting my everyday needs (aka running from meetings to the airport to presentations and so on). Since last Fall I’m trying to focus on more versatile pieces and the EILEEN FISHER System program is simply perfect. Here’s why.
I can’t tell last time I wore jeans. I kind of got tired of the styles I had at home and decided to go denim shopping. Forget your pair of skinny jeans – there are so many great new cuts out there! I’ve been into cropped pants for a while now but added a little twist with a flare annnd a two tone style (they are also high waisted so #goals). I also couldn’t wait to wear my new embellished socks and decided to pair them with a white block heel for more contrast. Last but not least, to complete this look I picked this fun top because ruffles is probably one of my favorite trend of 2017! Fashion Month is approaching and I can’t wait to show you guys more looks 🙂
Not sure if you guys remember but on a recent trip my jewelry box got stolen from my suitcase. It was the first time in my life that I had similar issues and trust me, from now on, I’m not putting anything valuable in my luggage. Long story short I had to restart (yup from scratch) my entire jewelry collection. I love sticking to essential rings, bracelets and necklaces that I will wear over and over again. I obviously have some “fantasy” pieces (chokers!) but there’s nothing like falling in love with a jewel so much you can’t take it off :).
