Bonjour Paris! I’m back in the city of love for Fashion Week and I can’t wait to discover new trends while eating as many fresh croissants as possible ;). While this new season got me excited about turtlenecks and trench coats, it’s also time for me to add a few new hairdos to my portfolio. I teamed up with John Frieda® Canada to show you how to achieve this Parisian messy side braid in a few easy steps.
And just like that summer is over and another amazing Fashion Month is about to start. After a quick stop in New York for some presentations and meetings, London was calling! It’s my second year doing the European fashion weeks and I couldn’t be more excited. Although Fashion Month can be really fun, it takes lots of organization, specially when planning the outfits. If there’s one thing that completes all my looks and that I never leave behind it’s a pair of sunglasses. This season, I partnered up with Maui Jim to show you that the view is better from London (Fashion Week) ;).
I wear my sunglasses at night – or in my case, should I say I wear my sunglasses when I shoot ;). It’s very rare you’ll find a picture of me without my sunnies. Apart of the fact they sometimes hide my tired eyes (ha!), they are also a very strong fashion accessory and they add the final touch to any look. I swear I feel naked without them! Although I own quite a few pairs, I always end up wearing the same ones over and over again and this Fall, I decided to challenge myself to switch things up a little – every outfit or so, I have to adopt a different style of sunglasses. This week, these aviators from Carrera were on the front line.
Guys! I survived Fashion Month (actually 3 weeks because I skipped New York this season ;)). It was one crazy but oh so rewarding journey! I met so many inspiring people, discovered tons of new brands and had the chance to assist to beautiful presentations. Although organizing all these meetings takes lots of time (thank you Mel!) the stressful part for me is picking out the outfits! I mean choosing 21 looks (and more because sometimes we do change during the day) was absolutely insane! On the other hand, I was beyond excited to partner up with one of my favorite brand, Aldo! A look is nothing without a great pair of shoes and I had so much fun styling all the different pairs I picked out! Here are some of my preferred street styles from London, Milan and Paris.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through my years of blogging is the fact that I collected way too many clothes that I’ve only worn once or twice. Not only does it take me 3 hours in the morning to find what I’m looking for (ughhh I need a walk-in closet in my life) but I’ve realized I was missing some essentials in my wardrobe. I used to be attracted to some major statement pieces that weren’t necessarily fitting my everyday needs (aka running from meetings to the airport to presentations and so on). Since last Fall I’m trying to focus on more versatile pieces and the EILEEN FISHER System program is simply perfect. Here’s why.
