Amsterdam Foodie Guide – part II

November 12, 2017

For me discovering a new city means exploring the food culture. I am a huge foodie and I love saving new places on my Google Map (tell me you guys are doing this too!?). Here are the latest restaurants I’ve tried in Amsterdam – ready, set, droool. Continue Reading

Amsterdam with Chic Retreats

November 9, 2017

Fall is not only my favorite season fashion wise but it’s also, in my opinion, the best time to travel in Europe. If there’s one city that’s absolutely magical during Fall, it’s Amsterdam. Think moody weather, an orange scenery with leaves everywhere, the smell of coffee in the little alleys and little boats cruising the canals filled with people keeping warm in chunky blankets – can’t get better than this! I had the chance to visit this beautiful city once again this year with the help of Chic Retreats while booking one of the most memorable stays at the Canal House. Continue Reading

Amsterdam Foodie Guide

December 4, 2016

Eating out while traveling has always been very important for me – probably the part I actually prefer while discovering a new city. It’s that special moment in between touristic attractions and photoshoots where you can really sit down and enjoy a great meal. I spend hours choosing where I want to have my morning coffee, my sharing plates for lunch and my romantic dinner. Here are 3 spots I really loved from my recent visit to Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy – Amsterdam

November 25, 2016

Right before coming to Europe, me & Fred were talking and he was telling me about how much he would love to see Amsterdam. We had a few travel plans but I knew I wanted to surprise him for his birthday by taking him to his dream destination. A quick 3 hour flight (I just LOVE how easy it is to travel around Europe) and here we were, about to start a new travel journey, at the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy. Continue Reading

24 hrs in Amsterdam

June 17, 2013

Last minute plans are always the best! Since it was rainy all week in Paris we decided to visit Amsterdam. We started off the day with a good breakfast at Maxime (great location, just in front of the Louis Vuitton store ;)).

Amsterdam is amazing! I’m loving this city already! Since we were there pretty early in the morning (and it was chilly), I wore my destroyed Levis vintage shorts with this “Hate me” sweater I bought in Paris a couple of days ago (and obviously my Jeffrey Campbell booties for a maximal comfort).

Sweater: Sweewe Paris, random store in Paris
Shorts: Levis vintage, Urban Outfitters
Booties: Jeffrey Campbell, Éditorial
Bag: Prada

Pull: Sweewe Paris, petite boutique à Paris
Shorts: Levis vintage, Urban Outfitters
Bottines: Jeffrey Campbell, Éditorial
Sac: Prada

Yummy treats from the market.

Des petites gâteries du marché.

It was warmer in the afternoon so I changed my sweater for a simple tank top and my easy breezy flower print vest. We also had the chance to visit the windmills near Amsterdam. I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting something less touristic…

Vest: F21

Food wise, we noted that there was a lot of indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam. Since I didn’t have any of those meals since my last visit to Bali a few years ago we decided to try Aneka Rasa. We were so impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. We took the rice table which included samples of the best meals of the house. Delicious! A must try if you are visiting Amsterdam :P.
