There is only a few destinations that we absolutely adore in ways that we don’t mind visiting again (because let’s be honest – there’s SO much to see but so little time). Barcelona is definitely one of them. We had the pleasure to say at the stunning Hotel Midmost and here’s what made our stay so special.
Location Location Location! Hotel Midmost is only steps (literally) away from the famous street La Rambla where shopping stores and great restaurants align. I love being able to walk everywhere when I travel so being central is essential to me. There is also a great healthy restaurant across the street, Flax&Kale, so I had no more excuses to get churros :P.
The lobby itself is absolutely stunning with a celling chandelier and a warm design. There is a great attention to detail, from the beautiful staircase to the furniture choice. But I have to say my biggest surprise was yet the room. We had the chance to stay in the one and only Exclusive Suite and I couldn’t contain my “ohhh” and my “ahhh” when opening the door. The decor is modern yet very traditional with special features such as velvet couches, parquet floors, lots of greens and a freestanding bathtub. The large windows were letting all the sunshine in while being the ideal spot for people watching.
Food wise, the breakfast buffet was brilliant! Hotel Midmost is working with the nutritionist Martina Wastl, to create a healthy breakfast menu with local ingredients. Trust me when I say this, but I have never seen so many green options. Think cold pressed juices, multigrain bread, almond milk, bio yogurt and so much more! Talking about starting the day right :).
Once work was done (usually right on time for happy hour :P), we decided to check out the rooftop terrace. With panoramic views over the city, a plunge pool and a delicious snack & drinks menu – what else can you ask for? Fred and I took a seat, ordered a glass of bubbles and watched the sun setting down on this magical city.
For me, a memorable trip starts with the right hotel choice and let’s just say I left Barcelona with lots of memories xox.
