I’ve had straight locks all my life and it took me forever to finally start playing around with my hair. Since I’m always in the rush, I usually only let them dry naturally, hoping for the best once they are dry (aka no weird baby hair or annoying frizz). Now that winter is here, I obviously had to switch techniques or I would catch a cold before even arriving at destination. I tried the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer for the first time last week and I am now in hair heaven. Not only does it take me 8 mins to dry my hair but I also have time to style my hair for the upcoming holidays (in 2-3 easy steps, I promise).
The Dyson Supersonic comes with a few attachments but my favourite one is the Dyson Diffuser because it stimulates natural drying and helps keep my hair frizz free. I also stopped using hair dryers because my hair is very thin and gets damaged easily but the Dyson Supersonic measures air temperature and this way it really prevents extreme heat. Another feature that I absolutely love (apart from the cool design) is the weight – so light! That’s because the motor is located in the handle, and not in the top part of the machine, where it usually is. I travel all the time and I hate when I need to compromise on my styling props. Now back to those holiday looks!
As soon as I’m out of the shower I dry my hair with my towel and apply a little bit of styling oil on my hair tips. I do this to add texture to my hair if not my locks are completely straight. After 8 minutes using the Dyson Supersonic I am now ready for styling – no joke my hair is dry faster then Fred making a latte! For my everyday look, I love to use my curling iron to add some natural waves and volume to my hair. For the holidays, I like to keep it simple but to add a sparkle to my hair with the Jen Atkin x Chloe + Isabel hair clips and pins.
My hair look is super simple. Once your curls are done, use a brush to obtain subtle waves on your hair tips. Use the hair comb to leave a side of the face uncovered. It gives a chic touch to your hairstyle in no time!
For a more festive look, start by curling your locks and then tie half of your hair in a ponytail. Take out one hair string and roll around your elastic to hide it. Take a pin and place it right above your ponytail. Voilà!
Now go ahead and show your hair some love #DysonHair.
